SoCal Digital Humanities Summit: Building Capacity
May 26,
1-4 pm (followed by a reception)
IDRE Visualization Portal, Math Sciences Building, UCLA [directions]

Please come along to this afternoon event to meet colleagues from Southern California and to discuss capacity building in the digital humanities (broadly conceived) in our region. There can be no doubt that SoCal is one of the most exciting places in the world to do this type of work and that us learning from each other and collaborating is a primary reason for this strength. There is also a sense, however, that we can do more to leverage the work going on, create stronger cohesiveness, further explore points of intersection with other fields, support identity building and branding, and facilitate new exciting opportunities inside and across our institutions. We hope that the event can help us think about how to build capacity for digital humanities in Southern California.

[Working program]

The event will be followed by a reception with food and drinks. Everyone welcome! Registration required.
